May I ask you to test relinking with:

make PL_ORALIBS=-laio -f ins_rdbms.mk async_on
make PL_ORALIBS=-laio -f ins_rdbms.mk ioracle

Even: is there any libaio file in any subdirectory of your $ORACLE_HOME?
(probably under $ORACLE_HOME/lib).
